The role focuses on numerical analysis, optimization, statistics, mathematical modeling, probability, dynamical systems, and computational mathematics, while evaluating whether AI agents can formulate mathematical problems, implement reliable algorithms, operate in terminal environments, debug numerical workflows, and produce verifiable computational results.
