About this opportunity
Turing is seeking an AI Prompt & Policy Specialist to design, evaluate, and improve how AI systems interact with tools, APIs, and users across multiple locales. The role combines prompt engineering, policy design, safety evaluation, API and JSON literacy, SQL basics, and critical reasoning. The specialist will review AI behavior, refine prompts and policies, validate tool workflows, evaluate responses, and support multilingual and safety-sensitive AI use cases.

- Design, review, and refine prompts and instructions for AI systems interacting with tools, APIs, and external services
- Read and understand API and JSON schemas and arguments to ensure correct parameter usage and tool behavior
- Apply SQL basics to validate data, perform simple checks, and support analysis of AI or tool behavior
- Create, document, and maintain policies and guidelines governing AI interactions, content handling, and tool workflows
- Develop workflow knowledge for tools such as Slack, PayPal, and similar platforms and encode that knowledge into prompts and policies
- Apply content filtering guidelines to ensure safety and compliance
- Detect unsafe or non-compliant AI outputs
- Evaluate AI responses for critical reasoning quality, parameter correctness, and policy adherence
- Validate prompts and responses across multiple locales and multilingual use cases
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and safety teams to improve prompts, policies, and workflows
- Document edge cases, decision rationales, and recommendations clearly

- 3–6 years of experience in AI operations, content review, QA, product operations, policy, technical support, or a combination of these areas
- Strong API and JSON literacy, including the ability to read schemas and verify parameter usage
- Basic SQL skills for simple queries, data validation, issue investigation, and analysis
- Demonstrated experience with prompt engineering or writing clear, structured instructions for AI or automation systems
- Experience creating, interpreting, and applying operational policies or guidelines
- Familiarity with tool-specific workflows such as Slack, PayPal, or similar SaaS platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort working with multilingual contexts across multiple locales
- Strong awareness of content safety, including harmful, abusive, or policy-violating content
- Excellent critical reasoning and judgment when evaluating ambiguous or complex cases
- Strong attention to detail when checking parameters, arguments, schemas, and policies
- Availability for at least 4 hours per day and a minimum of 20 hours per week
- Ability to provide 4 hours of overlap with PST
