About this opportunity
Turing is seeking experienced Electrical Engineers and engineering professionals to design, solve, and review simulation-led engineering tasks used to train and evaluate advanced AI models. The role is part of a PAA-based project and focuses on hands-on CAD modeling, simulation, design validation, engineering problem definition, analytical checks, and technical documentation. Candidates may work across aerospace, mechanical, and electrical engineering domains using industry-standard and open-source CAD and simulation tools.

- Develop CAD models and perform simulation and analysis for aerospace, mechanical, and electrical components
- Validate engineering designs using industry-standard tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, ANSYS, and MATLAB
- Develop realistic electrical engineering problem statements, simulation models, calculations, schematics, and supporting technical assets
- Define technical inputs, assumptions, constraints, operating conditions, output metrics, and objective acceptance criteria
- Validate simulation results through analytical checks and engineering sanity checks
- Review other engineers’ submissions for technical correctness, completeness, and engineering quality
- Translate technical requirements into simulation models and reproducible engineering workflows
- Optimize engineering designs based on simulation results
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
- Document engineering methodologies, processes, assumptions, and outcomes
- Perform engineering problem definition and design trade-off analysis
- Apply modeling and simulation techniques to technical engineering problems
- Perform peer review and quality assessment of engineering solutions
- Clearly communicate engineering assumptions, decisions, calculations, and validation results

- Minimum of 10 years of experience working in CAD engineering and simulation-focused organizations
- Strong proficiency in CAD engineering and simulation tools
- Strong fundamentals in aerospace, mechanical, and/or electrical engineering
- Hands-on experience with engineering modeling, simulation, or design projects
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to define robust engineering problems and requirements
- Experience with engineering modeling and simulation workflows
- Experience performing analytical validation and engineering sanity checks

- Professional proficiency in one or more relevant engineering simulation or design tools
- Python or MATLAB scripting experience for automation, analysis, and result processing is preferred
- For Electrical Engineering candidates, strong fundamentals in circuit analysis, power systems, electrical machines, power electronics, control systems, protection, grounding, instrumentation, or electronics design
- Electrical Engineering candidates must have deep practical expertise in at least one electrical engineering specialization
